The Pro 3 Mill is our most popular machine used for high precision machining. The combination of Precision Ballscrews, THK Linear Rail Guideways, Direct Coupled Stepper motors and a world class NSK High Speed Precision Spindle, insure the Pro 3 as being one of the most accurate Desk Top Machines in the World.

The Pro 3 is available in two models, a standard production model or a even more accurate Scientific version used by Nanotechnology and Microfluidic Industries.

The Pro 3 is used world wide in major universities for Nano Research to Top Jewelers who demand the best finished machining available.

Nano Machining is achieved at the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology at the at the Technical University of Denmark using Minitech's machine.  Frederik Bundgaard is shown with a Minitech Mini-Mill/3Pro with 30K RPM precision spindle.  End mills range from .0004" to 0.0002" and show no deviation in repeatability when machining.

The step motors controlling the stage employ micro-stepping, and a XYZ resolution of around 1 μm is achieved. The repeatability of the system, including the spindle run-out, has been experimentally found to be less than 5 μm when working on areas a few centimeters across, which is the dimension typically used for microfluidic systems.
